Community Charitable Contributions

At PSS World Medical, Inc., we believe an essential component of our corporate responsibility is to provide support to community-based organizations that improve the quality of life where our customers and people work and live.

Guidelines and Principles

The term “corporate responsibility” means more than just writing a check. It means empowering and encouraging our people to make a personal difference in their community. To this end, we routinely volunteer our time, energy, and expertise to qualified local civic and social service organizations.

When appropriate, we will support organizations with the following attributes:

(1) Improves health and welfare of children

OR

(2) Improves the healthcare industry

Program Eligibility

• Recipients must be tax-exempt charitable organizations with 501(c) (3) tax status.
• Funding requests must directly support specific programs and services of the non-profit organization.

Qualified recipients must also meet all of the following criteria:

Program Limitations

PSS World Medical, Inc.’s charitable support does not extend to:

• Individuals. Contributions made only to qualified non-profit organizations
• Trips or tours
• Political groups or candidates for office; fraternal organizations
• Sectarian and religious organizations that do not serve the general public on a non-denominational basis
• Building campaigns or endowments of any kind
• School events such as proms, graduations, PTO/PTA groups, school sporting events, etc...
